I am delighted to be appointed as the new club coach at Bearsden LTC and I look forward to the opportunity of helping this well-established club go from strength to strength on the tennis court. I am currently an LTA CCA Licensed tennis coach. For the past five years I have gained valuable coaching experience working as a full time tennis professional in various tennis clubs around the west of Scotland and even coached abroad in Greece and Turkey for a period. During this time I have worked in all areas of a tennis club. Coaching mini tennis, training junior performance squads, adult coaching from beginner to advanced team players and, when I was abroad, worked to the high standards of tennis academy coaching. Other tasks include organising junior and senior tennis tournaments and help the running of the club's tennis teams. I feel very passionate about tennis coaching and enjoy the challenge of progressing all tennis players young or old. I still enjoy playing competitive club tennis and over the past few years have helped win several promotions up to the West of Scotland first division and won the Clydesdale Cup in 2006. I also like to keep my competitive edge by competing in local ratings tournaments throughout the year. My future aspirations however lie in tennis coaching and I am committed to progressing my coaching qualifications to the highest level of the LTA coaching structure.
